Philippe CHATEL
Philippe Chatel is part of the first wave of the new French chanson. Close in particular to Georges Brassens, he composes, writes and interprets his own songs. His first major popular hit, J't'aime bien Lili, was released in 1977. This was followed by songs such as Ma lycéenne, Tout quitter mais tout emporter and, above all, Mister Hyde.
1979 was the year of her consecration with the worldwide success of his musical Émilie Jolie. For this initiatory tale, he gathered around him all the artists he admired.
