Nino FERRER
Nino was born Agostino Ferrari in Genoa in 1934. He follows his parents who move to Paris after the war. He studies ethnology and archaeology at the Sorbonne, but has already set foot in music. He played the double bass and then the electric bass, accompanying Richard Bennett and the singer Nancy Holloway in the early 1960s. He was already composing unsuccessfully and then came the revelation of rhythm'n'blues with Otis Redding. He recorded his first single in 1963, "Pour oublier qu'on s'est aimé", and success came quickly with "Mirza" in 1966 under the leadership of Eddy Barclay.
