Bixente LIZARAZU

Bixente Lizarazu is a former French footballer. He was born on December 9, 1969 in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Bixente Lizarazu was passionate about sports from an early age, especially tennis, surfing and football. In 1983, the teenager joined the Girondins de Bordeaux football club, where he joined the sports studies section. Four years later, Bixente Lizarazu participates in his first matches as a professional. The player will experience, with this Bordeaux team, the difficult moments of a relegation to the second division (in 1991), but also the joy in the UEFA Cup in 1996, contested for the captain's armband, alongside Christophe Dugarry and Zinedine Zidane.
